Any Occasion handmade card with Oh, Hello

A 3-D frame created with 2 different Stampin' Up! framelit dies - so easy to do!

Here's the 3rd card in the series...
3-D frame made with Big Shot and Stampin' Up! Oh Hello stamp set

To create the frame, first cut your Very Vanilla card stock using the second to largest die in the Labels Collection Framelits AND and a mid sized oval from the Ovals Collection framelits (available Jan. 3, 2013 from the Stampin' Up! Spring catalog) You can run both dies through at the same time!  So you make the entire frame with only one pass through the Big Shot.  You can also add the smallest oval to cut the center out as well.  I didn't happen to do that, because I didn't know exactly where I was going with the card, but I checked, and they all fit.
Then to get the coloring on the frame, add ink (Crumb Cake) to the flat side of the Perfect Polka dots embossing folder, lay your frame in the ink and carefully close and run through the big shot.  Remove embossed frame from the folder and with a stamping sponge add Calypso Coral ink to the raised dots.
I love the repeating chevron pattern in the embossed background and the stamped image inside the frame.
Here's your Spring 2013 Catalog wish list for this card:

  • Oh Hello (130730 wood mount, or 130733 clear mount)
  • Ovals Collection Framelit dies (129381) Make all three cuts at the same time!

Oh Hello, Girly Thank You Card

Paper piecing and embossing give this girl-y thank you card a sweet vintage look!

This is the second in my four card series using the soon to be released Oh Hello stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s Spring Catalog (Release date January 3, 2013). It's so easy to be inspired by coordinating products which you see in the Calypso Coral designer paper combined with the coordinating ink, baker's thread and ribbon.  The flower image repeated with the stamp and the designer paper. The ruffled ribbon mimics the ruffled looking embossed background achieved by the Stampin' Up! Fancy Fan embossing folder.   BTW, you don't have to have the Big Shot to use our embossing folders or framelits dies.  I've been told they work with other die cutting machines as well. Not that I would want you to use anything else, because I LOVE the Big Shot and have used others.  I think the Big Shot is the easiest and works the best for everything.

Here's your Spring 2013 Catalog wish list for this card:
  • Oh Hello (130730 wood mount, or 130733 clear mount)
  • Tea for Two designer paper (129311) Emboss the card base AFTER stamping and paper piecing.
  • 5/8" Vanilla Flower Trim (126869)
And from the current catalog, you can find these items today:
  • Label Collection Framelits (125598)
  • Stamping Sponges (101610) I sponged 2 colors around the edges of everything!
  • Stampin' Dimensionals (R) (104430)

Oh Hello stamp set Thank you card

A fun 3D Thank you card using die cuts, sewing, and Oh Hello Stampin' Up! Stamp Set and Tea for Two Designer paper

Fun and funky may be an overused phrase these days, but still perfectly describes this stamp set available on January 3rd, 2013 in the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog. If you haven't seen it yet, let me know and I'll get one to you. In a word, it's fabulous! Just exactly what you'd expect from Stampin' Up!
Here's a card I cased from the catalog...

Yep, that's sewing on there, with a sewing machine.  The sample in the book has white thread, but since the pink was already threaded up in my machine, pink is what this card got. I HATE to change my thread on my sewing machine-lazy I guess.
