This is a shameless scraplift from the Jenni Bowlin gallery on Scrapbook.com. Her page is called peek. I thought her page was adorable and it immediately ispired me to make this page, which I also think is adorable. It's adorable because of that adorable boy who climbed up into the tomato plants and helped himself to the green tomatoes right off the vine.
The page was composed using Stampin Up stamps, ink, paper and punches. I also used Basic Grey paper, and I did some hand stiching after I poked holes with my Tim Holtz design ruler (love this ruler!!)

Prayer for faith

Ever feel like you don't know how to pray? The Bible has the answer. If I'm struggling in an area, I use my concordance to find scripture on the subject and then pray the words right from God's word. I find this really helps me focus and tune in to what God has to say to me as well as how I should be praying. I like to write down the scriptures then refer to them as I compose a prayer. I keep these in my prayer journal and refer to them often. This is an excellent way for me to devote (have devotions) each day.
Here's the prayer God gave me today from Hebrews 10:35-11:3:

Heavenly Father,
The universe was formed at your command. You made what is seen out of what was not seen. Lord, please grant us an abundance of this faith, that is, being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. For without this faith we know it is impossible to please you. We believe, Lord, that you exist and pray that you will reward us for seeking you. We are aliens and strangers here on earth waiting for your heavenly kingdom. Help us, Lord, to persevere, and turn our weakness into strength. We thank you, Father, for the examples of faithfulness that have gone on before us and pray that we, too, can be examples for those who come after us. We pray these things in Jesus' holy name. Amen.

Great Article

Shawn and I have been reading a lot of books lately, mostly on the subject of wealth, investing, building business, and other related topics. One of the books we're reading right now suggests that if you want to build a business and do not have the necessary communication skills, join a Toastmasters club. Well, I was curious if there was a Toastmasters club near Sidney, NE, where we're moving. While on the site, I happened upon a wonderfully written article entitled "The Art of Bookmanship" (quotes or underline for article titles?) by Katherine Meeks. It's in the December 2008 issue of the Toastmaster's magazine. Click on the title if you want to read the article, or look for it on the Toastmaster's site.
The article is filled with rich quotes and dead on comments about book reading. My hat is off to you, Katherine! Loved the article.
