Stampin' Up! Flower Fest Butterfly and Ruffles Card

Today's card is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything...a motto that most Stampin' Up! demonstrators live by quite joyfully) of a card I found on Pinterest. Although CASE is an acronym, we tend to use the word as a verb.

Now, I don't know if crafters outside of SU live by the CASE rule, but I think most do.  To have someone copy your work is really a huge compliment, isn't it?  So here's a link to the card on Pinterest.

And here's my take on it using Stampin' Up! supplies...
The ruffle effect is made with punching 1 inch strips of Pacific Point card stock and 1 inch strips of Beyond the Garden DSP (Designer Series Paper).
The butterfly image from the Flower Fest stamp set was embossed using VersaMark and white embossing powder on Pacific Point card stock, then punched out with the butterfly punch.

At this very moment as I type, the Butterfly punch and the Scalloped Edge Border Punch are both available in the Clearance Rack in the old style of punch. Go see if you can still get 'em!

My top 3 reasons (but I have many more) for choosing to craft with Stampin' Up!
  1. Color and Design Coordination
  2. Stamp and Punch Coordination
  3. 2 Step Stamp Sets
Thanks so much for stopping by and I treasure your comments, so please take the time to leave one if you can.
Have a wonderful, crafty day!
Kelly

Stampin' Up! Bordering on Romance...again!

I can't seem to get enough of this stamp set.  It's really growing on me.  And I kind of CASEd myself with this layout. It's a rather simple card and done with Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen after heat embossing the image with white embossing powder.
The crumb cake card stock was a terrific base with which to use the blender pen.  I colored in the large flowers with a Calypso Coral marker then came back and partially outlined the petals with Riding Hood Red.  Then I used the blender pen to blend the colors.  I think it worked very well and better than most of my attempts at this technique. Someday I'll get a video camera and start filming how I "do stuff".

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment.  If you have any questions about any of my projects, I'm just a click away.

Don't forget for every $50 purchase you get to choose a FREE item from the Sale A Bration catalog.  Good for online orders, email orders, workshop orders, club orders...basically any order type.

Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Bordering on Romance Black and White card

Black and white with a little bling is a timeless combination, don't you think.  I had a left over Scalloped Oval in black and white and this was the resulting card after a little play time.
I was casing the Stampin' Success magazine (a free monthly magazine for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators) making this card which left me with the extra scalloped ovals.
Have you given some thought to joining Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator?  Right now is a fabulous time to do that.  Instead of the usually priced $175, the starter kit is only $125 and has everything you need to start stamping and start your business if you so choose.  Visit my website and click Join the Fun for more details www.kellyrose.stampinup.net.

Stampin' Up! Everyday Elegance, a FREE Sale A Bration Stamp Set

Free Stamps, Free Paper, Free Brads, Free Ribbon.  I'm lovin' it!!  Sale A Bration is so much fun. Get all the details on the promotions page here on my Stampin' Up! website where you can place your order by clicking Shop Now. (Go to my website www.kellyrose.stampinup.net)

I love all the texture on this card.  And I'm always hooked when I can coordinate stamps with paper as seen here with the  Fresh Vintage Stamp Set and the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper.

To get the look of the background, ink up the embossing folder before adding your paper.  Simply rub your ink pad all over the "FLAT" side of the folder.

I used Island Indigo Classic Ink and Island Indigo card stock with the Finial Press Embossing folder.

The little ribbon and brad embellishment are also from the Sale A Bration catalog.  You can choose Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack as your free item when you spend $50.
Here's another card I made for a wonderful friend and downline member who has been struggling with some health issues.  She was feeling well enough the other day for me to come over and "play".
We made thank you cards using this same design and the Perfectly Penned Stamp Set from the Idea Book and Catalog.

Supply List:
Stamps:  Fresh Vintage (#125117, #125115-wood) and Perfectly Penned on the Get Well Card (#122892, #122890-wood)
Ink:  Island Indigo (#122937), Soft Suede (#115657)
Stamp n Write Markers:  2011-2013 In Color Assortment (#123002)

Stampin' Up! Springtime Vintage fabric ruffles on a tea towel apron

Sew fun easy to make! I recently made this for a friend of mine but haven't given it to her yet, so I'm sharing a pic with you!
Jill Olson, a fabulous demonstrator in my upline, has a video how to on these darling little aprons. I followed her directions MOSTLY.  I love the way it turned out.
Let me know if you have any questions about this or any other projects you see on here.

Stampin' Up! Bordering on Romance Sneek Peek

So sweet.  The Bordering on Romance stamp set featured on this card can be ordered on January 4th, 2012 from Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalog.  The "Twitterpated" patterned paper is from the Occasions mini catalog as well.  The patterns are gorgeous, you're going to love them.  Need a catalog?  Contact me.
I stamped the images in jet black Staz On and colored them in with markers (Pink Pirouette, Cherry Cobbler, Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi) and blender pen.  What you can't really see in the photo is that the centers of the flowers have dazzling diamond glitter applied.  Most of my cards end up with a little bit of sparkle. I can't stop myself.  The sentiment is from Friendly Phrases found in the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog on page 162.  Don't have a catalog? Contact me and we'll get one in your hands!
I wish you all a very Happy New Year!
